I'm happy with the reception of the Sebring antenna:
    05064710-AA, around 10$.

I used an antenna from a pontiac g6 on my R. Fit nicely and it was free! Got it off a wrecked car at my old job at a body shop!

I just cut mine off where the antenna starts to become skinny, sanded, and plasti-dipped it. Worked fine, looked much better, and didn't cost me a damn thing.

I get it... you watch a lot of Top Gear and would drive a manual with a broken left leg. You still sound dumb.

One of the first things I did after purchasing my Golf 4 was remove the "stubby" antenna and replace it with the OEM antenna.

My favorite NPR station wouldn't come in with the stubby antenna.
