    hello vw brothas and sistas

once again, i need your input on something. this morning when i left my house, i realized i forgot something, had to turn around to get something. When i got into my car, i couldnt start the car. the engine kept cranking but didnt start. i waited couple minutes, tried to start again, didnt start. just kept cranking. I stopped starting the car and waited another couple of minutes and this time, it started. this is the first time that this happen. Is this a sign of something bad later on?

    thank you for your input!!

    Frank

is your alarm still hooked up?

mine did this too, some times it wouldn't crank at all ant some times i could sit there and crank with no start. look up alarm bypass, its a simple jumper wire and doesn't cost anything to try.
    WOW!
    7200 rpm in 5th is ~ 82mph!
do you get into 3rd leaving your driveway?

Makes no sense. The alarm system ONLY disables the starter. So if it's cranking. Then no, it's not the alarm

Problems with hot restarts are normally ignition coil related.
