My car only has a neuspeed intake, no tune, and i have 17k miles on it.

Run1- right lane vs evo. I had some traction issues, and dont mind the r/t I made up for it in the 2nd run

2nd run- left lane vs 04 5.7 gto

3rd run- left lane vs 2012 V6 Mustang

Great times! Your r/t on the second run is awesome! You just gotta be more consistent with the r/t's and your golden (y)

Thanks! Yea my first run was my first ever at a track. I'll be more consistent now I know when to release the brake pedal. It's tricky with the DSG there's a little big of lag time before it wants to get moving.

Thanks me too at least for stock. You should be around 13.7 if you can hook up.

He ran 14.4 with a 2.3 60ft time.. On street tires with a FWD car you will most likely never get below a 2.0 60 ft time.

I assume if he lowers his 60 ft time to about 2.2-2.1 than he can maybe run a 14.2-14.0.

You need to trap around 100mph to get into the 13s..

He's stage 2 with drag radials I'm sure he will be in the 13's without an issue. I ran 14.4 with all season tires, almost 14.3.

Huh? The OP says he has no tune and a neuspeed intake.

    Unless I'm missing something??

No matter what if your not traping atleast 100 your going to struggle to get into the 13s!

I did the op, and the guy I commented on has a stage 2 gli. I have the stock gli with no tune, I know it won't trap in the 100's. but a stage 2 with drag radials I'm sure will. Does this make sense?

reaction times won't affect your et, but that 60' sure will..work on the 60' and you can probably drop another .1 or .2 of a second..but then again, street tires. it's tricky.

Conti all seasons are actually performance oriented all-seasons. I don't think I would have fared any better if I was stock since mine came with the dunlops.

OP, what tires did your GLI come with?

I'm still on the original tires with 17k on them, so they are getting down there in tread life.

OK I can't find my time slips right now but figured I'd chime in. My car was stage 2 ecu tune and full carbonio intake no esp button at the time of the 1/4 mile times. It was 98° out but all my buddies wanted to go to the track. First off the car was so much worse than stock out of the hole without ESP mod. It just lit the traction light on the dash through all of first gear and about 1/2 sec of second. After that it hooked up and was gone. I believe my best 60 ft time was 2.58 and best 1/4 time was 14.32. The plus side was my trap speed varied between 100 and 102. Since that trip I've added esp button and nuespeed top and high charge pipe. Looking forward to going back to an official 1/4 mile time not just using my buddies dash mounted unit. The unit has always been pretty accurate and right now it has me at 13.4 104 but we will see. I'll post up precious slips and new slips as soon as I get some.

Thats crazy the esp slows you down that much!! Keep us updated on that. Im about to install my ESP button next week. I might do another stock run with that to see if my time improves. I feel like i could shave a little of the 60ft disabling the esp. Im thinking i can run a 14.3 stock.

Yea its bad. The more power the more the wheels spin so traction control is on more and it sux without disabling it. The car will spin in 2nd and even when u smash the gas and it drops to 2nd. If u can run a 14.3 bone stock u will have 1 of the fastest time slips I've seen for any mk6 gli/gti. I know that my car is around 13.3-13.4 just by how much faster I blow through first and 2nd now w esp off. The problem with the traction control is it doesn't allow boost so no power. Yea best 60ft time ive seen so far is patrick02 at just over 2 sec. I'm hoping to get about 2.1 2.2 60 ft times next time out.

Im extremely close to 14.3. Im sure you saw my slip up top, i think it would be possible with the esp button. Im having traction issues in first.

Yes I saw the time slip. That's a real solid time bone stock. I was at 14.3 but trap speed of 103. I was really frustrated that night but only explanation I could come up with was the traction control was killing me in first n second gear. And my car full stage 2 tune w 250 whp and 310 wtq. The traction was even worse on the track compared to the street it almost felt like the car was turning on and off real quick until about 48-51 mph
