I have a 92 cabby I finished building a few months ago. It's lowered about 2" with 15x8 wheels, scirocco 16v rear beam/discs, berg kit. Anyways, after about 10k the front tires still look like new, but the rears are completely bald. Even wear side to side-1mm tread left! The rear wheel bearings are now a bit crappy as well, but I believe the bearings wore due to the wheel, not vice versa. Based on my vw car knowledge toe is the only thing that would excessively and evenly wear away rear tire tread is toe. But as far as I know there is no toe adjusting on the rear Does anyone have any idea why my rears are wearing so quick, how I could adjust rear toe, or if there's a different issue all together???

How low does you're car sit ? The lower you are and the further out you're wheels sit makes them wear differently .

They sell shims for the rear. Here is a link and there are other places that sell these and various different styles also. They are fairly common, just make sure you buy decent shims and stay away from the cheap plastic stuff. Also note, they are a bit of a hassle to install and dial in.

When I had my rears adjusted last year, there is also a website that you enter your current rear specs and desired rear specs and they machine and mail you the needed left and right rear shims. Pretty cool and it takes all the guess work out of the process.
