thank you for looking I just bought myself I 2002 golf coupe manual ! Yay for me What I am hoping to find out is

2002 vw golf gl? It's the 2 door manual and manual windows 1). if the golf headlights stock actually have fog lights or is it just a fake bulb under the blinker? only reason why I think that is because I went to a junk yard and got a Jetta light switch (pull out for fog lights) and there was nothing.

2). other than pulling my E brake one click to turn off my running lights is there any other way to turn off your daytime running lights and still have access to your lights from the switch, possibly a fuse? Idk that's why I am asking lol, only reason why I can't do the E brake is cus it won't shut up it just beeps at me E brake "yes I know I just pulled it thank you!"

    Thank you for reading

    yay for you.

    1) GL's came stock with the fake fog. The real fogs came on GLX's

    2) Ive read somewhere that you can fold a pin on the harness that plugs into the light switch

Easiest thing I can suggest is to bend the connector inside the light switch, its the one labeled TFL.

If your stock headlight switch didnt have an option for fogs on it, then the car doesnt have fogs. Think about it...

If you do get headlights with fogs, you'll have to run an aftermarket relay to make them work. Just getting a switch with the fog option isn't going to do it.

No idea what TFL stands for, but that's the one you bend down to disable the running lights.
I do coilover installs, retrofits, audio, fender rolling and other light maintenance in South Jersey. Eastwood fender roller for rent. PM me with questions

I have done the TFL pin mod myself, it's super easy and reversible. Go for it, don't be scared.
