Launch RPM

I have a bone stock 2012 gti 6mt, did a search and most of the threads on this are for 1.8ts, im going to the local drag strip tonight and might put my car down the track a time or 2, what RPM do you guys usually launch at? or do you usually roll it out (had a 400whp civic that i had to because axles were getting expensive ) just curious i wouldn't normally ask a question like this but since the strip closes in afew weeks its usually busy this time of year and im limited to the amount of runs i will get in. thank you for your input

lol im kidding some where around 4k is good for me .. i ran a 13.39 at the track being stage 2 (apr)
mine has the ign cut at 4k tho (launch control)

If you don't have anything to do before you go to the track, practice in your neighborhood or some abandoned street. Your specific launch capabilities depend on your car, your mods, your tires, etc.

Start at 2500 and go up from there. See where you can get to where you can slip the clutch just a bit and not lose revs.

I think the DSG launch control is set at 3500 on the GTI's.

i spin a little but not to much . i have f1s kinda sticky ibest time i ever ran was a 13.39
my buddy with a fmic ran a 13.24

chucktown o.O charleston. hows the scene up in g-ville? do you roll with chapter 11 or what. theres a small club around here. you've probably heard of the low country vw club, we get a few guys from g-ville down here at our events every now and then...
