you can get copper-nickel plated lines
you will need the flairs which you can get on mk1-autohaus for cheap
thus youre binding them together
and you will need the bubble double flaring tool....which i heard is pretty hard to find

Hey guys,
Currently in the middle of fixing up my rabbit. I replaced the floors and in the process of that I cut the brake lines and fuel lines to around the firewall area. What is the best way to replace these lines?
For brake lines I believe I can just buy some hard lines, bend them, and attach them to where I cut. Will that work?
I am not really sure what I should do for fuel lines though. Should I find some stainless steel lines, run them to where and cut and join them? I was also told that I could run new lines to the firewall, then use braided lines for the rest.
Thanks in advance for the help!

It looks like mk1-autohaus sells everything I need to redo my brake lines: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-Rabbit-Pi...item334f82cf3b. I will just need to find the flare tool.
I am still lost on what to do about fuel lines. Mk1-autohaus sells the hard lines but they are a little steep in price.

i just bought and installed a complete brake line kit
all the lengths where pre -cut and came with connectors/flares
i used the old lines as template and it worked out great
also i bought a cheap bending tool and that thing helped me a lot
the kit was a bit more expensive but i didn´t need a flaring tool so in the end it was okay for me.
as for the fuel lines
i think you have many choices, either taking some from a newer car (plastic) or take just copper piping(did that on my old diesel)
