Took off for work this morning, got about a mile from the house and the CC started shuddering and sounded like a sick lawn mower. The EPC and CEL came on and I pulled over and shut it off. Waited a few and same results. Limped back home and away she went on a flatbed to VW.

No idea what it is yet. They're going to accomplish the ECM/TCM update and a few other items while it's there. It's a mod friendly dealership, but I was told if they suspect it had anything to do with the APR tune, it won't be covered. I guess you pay to play. I hope it's something simple

Well, that didn't take too long. It was a bad coil pack on cylinder #1. They did the ECM/TCM update. Troubleshot the ipod interface down to a bad interface and ordered a new one for me.

I told them I was hearing a clunking sound when turning into and leaving parking spaces. They checked the sub frame bolts, said they were good. He told me he was pretty sure it was my H&R springs in the front making the noise.

Going to stop at USP Motorsports on the way down to the Marathon Key next week, get re-flashed, purchase a coil pack to have on hand and have them check the springs. They're only charging me $49 for the re-flash and $22 for a coil pack. I feel it's a worth while investment to have one in the trunk.

Great to hear it was only a coil pack.

was on the highway behind a cabbie, moved over to the right lane, pressed on the accelerator - the engine shook/stuttered, and then then EPC/CEL came on

Recently went APR Stage 2 exactly two weeks ago.

    Coil-pack gone wrong?

    Help!

Sounds like a coil pack to me. After VW replaced my bad coil pack. I went ahead and got 4 new ones and now have a couple of spares in the trunk, just in case...

I sure hope so! Any idea if this can be replaced under the CPO Warranty?

If anything - I think it goes for $20/coil more or less
