Picked up a 2012 Candy White 2.5SE w/o sunroof on Thursday and wanted to say hello. I have read every post on this forum and have gained a lot of knowledge about our cars.
I came from a 00 Lexus ES300 platinum (dropped, TRD exhaust, 3 piece Work Euroline wheels, tint, custom retrofitsource.com projectors) and I plan mod the Passat as well.
So far I have done 30% tint all around, OEM spoiler, passenger side trunk hinge cover,and I put in a new overhead console from a passat SE w/ sunroof. Long story short, I wanted to have the two red ambient leds and I also wanted all the buttons to light up but models without sunroofs dont get this feature. I lucked out and a guy down the street was parting out a 2012 Passat w/ sunroof and I picked up the entire console for $40!! Everything transfers over, remove sunroof dial, switch panel cover (drill two holes to expose red LEDs) and your done!
Next on the list...OEM Fogs, door sills, coilovers and wheels.

Welcome. Already have mods in it within a week! That seems like a good price for that part too.

Wow, that is pretty lucky that someone else had parts for the picking. I never noticed the buttons don't light up in the console.

Yes definately lucked out. There is a console on eBay that is pretty cheap also, item number 200728390783 for this interested in the mod. Dealer price is $170!
