My son has 2 MK2 Jettas that he is not doing anything with, and wants gone. The first is a light blue 1987 that had a ton of parts thrown at it,
2.0 16V engine with a Digi 2 conversion, and 5 speed tranny.
Passat disk brakes all around, and 22 MM master cylinder.
header, high flow cat, and 2.25 inch full exhaust.
Recaro seats front and rear
leather steering wheel
weighted shift rods, and short throw shift kit.
MK3 fuel tank and pump.
lowered 2 inches
newer tires on alloy rims
good title
The bad, he tried guard rail surfing, and the guard rail won. Still runs and drive, but needs body work.
The second car is a 1988 carat in calypso green that was bought as a body donor. This car was purchased from a guy that had started to part it, but all the body parts are there, and I have the title also. The body is in decent shape, with a few dings, but no major rust. There was a small hole cut in the lower rear of the body that could be patched, or covered with a big bumper kit. The engine and tranny are still there, 8V and 5 speed. I think it still has good glass also.
Also have a good set of >88 doors with big windows in white paint, a good set of front fenders, a good hood, and deck lid with spoiler all in good Black paint. There is a big rear bumper cover in red paint that need some minor work, and many other parts that will go with the cars.
Looking for $3500 OBO for everything listed, as it could be parted out for much, much more.
The 16v digi2 computer was chipped, and the engine has a new set of aftermarket cams in it.
the car had a single round badge less conversion, and a Passat radiator too.
The carrat has power windows and mirrors, except the passenger front reg was bad.
There are more parts in my barn and attic than I can remember, including a set of bottle caps, and set of carrodo 4 lugs, passat 4 lug alloys. I will add what ever I can find to this list.
He also has a 93 passat VR6, 5 speed that is in fairly rough shape that he may sell for the VR swappers out there.
Make an offer, all he can do is say no. Will also separate the 2 cars if they don't sell together.
