ALL GONE! NO LONGER AVAILABLE Thanks guys!

    Hey guys,

I've set up a kit to convert your ugly, non functional factory wipers to a Lupo GTI set up. This is a true aero blade set up, similar to a MK4 R32. This kit contains both Lupo arms, drivers side Lupo blade, and MK4 R32 passenger blade. This kit is a direct bolt on set up, and sits a lot lower on your windshield than the factory setup. The contact on the windshield is amazing, I love my set up, and I would know about rain living in Seattle.

So the price for this kit is $187.62 (this includes a $10 inbound shipping charge from Germany). Shipping in the lower 48 will be around $10-$14 depending on where you are.

If you would like to place an order, you can call (877-737-3670) or email: zfoster@auburnvw.com

Or, you can place your order through our site. www.thevwpartsstore.com click on the “parts catalog” tab on the upper left hand side, click on Special Order Parts and Offers in the upper right hand side. It’s the 3rd item down. I only have 4 kits available so get them while you can! Thanks dooods!

Here's YoYo's Corrado with this kit:

Here's the kit on my Corrado:

Good to know about this conversion, I never liked how the stock wipers worked (in Seattle area also).

One more thing to add to my to do list.

It only stops raining in Seattle when you're trying to sell windshield wipers. Who would have thought? I know what to do though. I'll wash my car this weekend, since that guarantees rain every time.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying, are you asking how long it will take for you to receive? Are you outside the USA? Or are you asking how long it takes me to get these in since we're in the USA, and these come from Germany? Please clarify.

These things are the business. They are right up there with European headlights and manual seatbelts.

Okay so minor set back. I use a MK4 R32 blade on the passenger side of this kit. Well I just found out a couple days ago that VW decided to change the design of this blade (see pic below). So now the blades look different. I was able to round up one of the old style blades locally. I called every VW dealership in Western Washington and only one dealership had the old style in stock.

I have 3 kits available, one kit, both blades match. I don't know where I'm going to find 2 more old style passenger blades. I may have to mess around with some blades in stock to see if I can come up with some sort of solution.

Okay as you can see below, the blade on the right is the Lupo, and the one on the left is the new style R32 blade. They look completely different.

I have a question about this. So if they are discontinuing to make the old style blade how are people who have this kit supposed to get blade replacements in the future?
I'm still interested in doing this conversion but slightly confused about this.

In the future you can simply buy a wiper insert. It's a lot cheaper than replacing the entire assembly.

Okay so pretty crazy news here with this blade situation. We have some VWoA people coming in tomorrow so we were sweeping and organizing our parts dept. I found 2 of these blades at our front counter!!! These were not even in our inventory and have been up there for probably a year or more. So now I have 3 complete all matching kits in stock.

Since the blade styles are different now this will be more than likely the last time I will be selling these kits.

I will take the third set if still available. Also i've never replaced just the wiper insert before, is there a specific insert that you buy for these or are they universal?
    Thanks

You can order online. Go to www.thevwpartsstore.com. Click on the parts catalog tab on the upper left hand side. Then click on the special order parts and offers section. It's the 4th item down. Keep in mind there will be the $10 inbound shipping from Germany charge. So your total is $187.62 plus around $12 for shipping.

All you do is pop off the small plastic end cap, pull the old insert out, replace with new insert (VW part number: 895-955-429-A $6.22ea) reverse your step and you're done! You may have to trim the ends to fit.
