My wife destroyed my 24v VR6 which was my favorite car ever. If you get a chance to buy one do not hesitate to jump on it. They are amazing motors. I was an idiot and never replaced the CAI the PO had installed and my lady hydrolocked it after about 3 years of driving the thing. Anyway the car barely depreciated and my insurance company took care of me.

    So out of this:

    And into this:

Stay classy dudes, and dont let all of horrible new ricers who have been scooping mk4s on the cheap ruin the scene.

I dont have the space or time for such a project and I would never pay someone else to do it. 24v motors are not cheap, and any decent shop would charge quite a bit for an engine swap. The mk1 rabbit cost about the same price and doesnt need new tires or axles etc.

Yeah, I was pretty bummed. I would have driven that car until the wheels fell off. The engine and clutch felt exactly the same at 105k as it did at 60k miles.

Love this rabbit though. Its all original, 1 owner 80k miles.

    Super clean MKI.

Start reading and learning about CIS. The fuel injection system is the biggest PITA if it has been tuned wrong.

    Welcome to the MKI world.
