Thread: Mk3 turn signal issues---

  1. 10-04-2012 07:09 PM #1
I have multiple problems on my hands
    1. I turn on my turn signal and when i depress the brake they shut off. Only happens on occasion, sometimes they work perfectly, sometimes they don't.
    2. Only happens on occasion on top of the brake issue--- I turn on my left signal and my right signal turns on instead and flashes quickly along with my brake lights flashing quickly. only occurs with the left signal. Right one works fine despite the brake issue.

I just bought a brake light relay, also looking into buying a turn signal relay. Will this fix my issues? If not what is the problem?

    HELP PLEASE.

    Golf or Jetta?
I don't know if Jettas have the same corrosion issues, but the Golf's bulb trays can get corroded, and cause all sorts of mayhem. Peel the carpet back, and inspect your grounds, the bulb trays, and look for any janky wiring back there that a previous owner may have spliced or mangled.
