The day I got my Passat I put the aftermarket Nokya headlight bulbs that I have had in the last 4 cars with no problems at all.

The drivers side burnt out last night (didnt surprise me since they are about 2 years old). But when I went to put the factory bulbs back in the one passenger (good) side came out fine but the drivers (out) wont twist what so ever.

Im worried it could have melted itself in there or something? Can someone confirm that when you twist it the top part of the verticle flat handle with twist toward the motor on both sides? (If facing the car the passenger twists clockwise and drivers side twists counter clock wise.

I'm not really sure what to do from here. Does anyone have a DIY on removing the whole headlight that has changed over to the LED? I only ran them for 450 miles now.

Please help I really need to get back to having two headlights ASAP.

I also have read of other people having the drivers side low beam bulb go out due to the connection. So maybe the bulb is actually not burnt.

But I did not see any mention of not being able to remove the socket that holds the bulb in. Most complained of it being too loose. Mine wont budge.

It is not difficult to remove the entire housing and flip it around so you can see inside at what's going on. A lot less frustrating, especially for the DRL's.
