I've been trying to get VCDS to work on my Macbook Pro running Windows 8 preview.
I installed the latest version of VCDS on Windows 8. Everything seems to have installed without any problems but when I try to open the program nothing happens. I tried running the Windows "troubleshoot compatibility" but that didn't help either.
Anyone have any words of advice?

I'm also on a MacBook Pro (mid 2010) and just updated to Windows 8 today via Boot Camp.
I just happened to get a HEX USB/CAN cable this past Wednesday and ran VCDS just fine on Windows 7. I can't run VCDS 220.127.116.11 in Windows 8, compatibility mode or otherwise. The application just silently fails to launch.
Ross-Tech seems reluctant to stay on top of modern PC technology, so I'm not sure whether today's official Windows 8 release matters for Ross-Tech's own development/release schedule. Anybody with more experience know what to expect?
