Just 10 minutes after leaving work today, a BMW 325i that thought they had clear passage to turn left through 4 lanes of traffic and subsequently encounter the from end of my 2012 CC at 40 MPH. It tore up the front end from left to right. airbag deployed, bumper severely damaged, no headlamp, no fog lamps, no grill, dented left and right quarter panels, possible hood damage, no wipers, no seat belt use, left controls on steering wheel damaged and minimal scrapes to the radiator with no leaks. The BMW on the other had had to be towed away and not drivable. The 17 year old young man that made this bad decision was on his way to church. Two accidents in my 35 years of driving and they both were with teens drivers. I drove home and am enjoying a few glasses of wine at the moment. Photos to follow.

Little bastard! I'll pull a four lane change, but have some years driving under my belt.

Did you freak out on the kid?

I have a very cool, calm demeanor that resembles the grim reaper and usually people just say nothing if they know whats good for them. Must be my German genes.

Glad your ok. Some people get so pissed and upset. It's a car it can be replaced but your life can't. Plus that's what insurance is for. Hopefuly they don't total your car out. But if they do would you get a new CC?

Glad to hear you are ok , cars can be replaced.

Your demeanor sounds alot like mine. Although I think most people say nothing to me because when I remove my suit/sports coat you can see I am carrying. LOL

Yes, of course. I felt completely safe in that vehicle. It did everything they said it would during an accident. Love my VW.

You sound like a squirrel. I love being able to own and carry firearms but there is absolutely nothing about a self protection that warrants bragging.

It think you strongly have mistaken my weak attempt at a joke as being bragging. Sorry that doesn't come across clear in a written form. My apologies.

But I am glad you can make yourself feel better by judging and calling me a name based on 1 post. Especially when you know nothing about me. I am Les, nice to meet you.

I'm simply giving you my opinion as you posted yours. This is the nature of the beast (aka the interwebz). I'm sure I would have absolutely no problems with you face-to-face Les but that doesn't change my reaction to your post. Sorry I'm not sorry.

    Edit: It's still all gravy.

    I agree!

Back on Topic, keep us updated on the damage and repair. Always sucks having to deal with a situation like this. But its only a car.

Same thing happened to me in June in my B6 passat. VW kept me safe and the guy who hit me had to be towed away. My car unfortunately was totaled, but got a CC Hope it all works out for you.

Glad you are okay bro. Me personally? Would've made sure the kid that was driving the BMW was okay. If so.... I would've done some physical damage and blamed it on the accident. That's what he gets for endangering me and my family. Then I would've went home and drank a glass of shutter home.

First someone brags about carrying to intimidate others.
And now someone wants to send the guy to the hospital, if he is not already on the way.

Sure, violence makes it all better.

You don't sound like happy go lucky VW family folks.

Everyone is a new driver at some point in their life. Hopefully his ability of judging the correct time to turn into a four lane intersection will improve with age.

Just got the CC back today from this accident on Oct 5th. Unfortunately, all the photos of the damage were lost in the camera. Probably better than remembering the event.

    The price tag: $12,657.00

I picked up the car today and my guy did a great job as always. Except, there was a surprise. I will have photos tomorrow and let's see what you guys think. Happy accident (no pun intended) or disaster. Think grill.

Yes it was. The 17 year old that thought it was a good idea to pull out in front of me will be paying for it. I must say, everything seems the same and drives just as nicely and quietly as it did before.

The part came into the shop from Volkswagen black and someone checked the work order for the part to be painted the body color (accident). When I first looked at the front end, I couldn't figure out why it looked for modern and fresh. Then I realized that the black grill was now silver. I look at it this way, divine intervention or design intervention. No one seems to object to the CC in black with the black grill, so why not a Reflex Silver CC with a Reflex Silver grill?

Any and all comments would be appreciated. My guy as offered to replace the part with the original black version but I now wondering how this front end would look with the lower air dam painted out silver as well.

I'm kinda on the fence about it can go either way right now for me, I think it would help to see a pulled back view rather than so zoomed in.
