I have a 08 Passat and i want to have the foglights as DRL.
Is it possible to do it whitout a vag-com or something like that?
If i have to use a vag-com is there someone who know på code for coding that?
I have been searching on internet but i have not found it!

      yes. only with VAG-COM though.

Use the CECM Long Coding helper, Byte 17, check bit 5

this is cause the Scandinavian DRL's low beam become fogs. The other exterior lights are still on.

For this to work do the fogs have to be plug into the cecm? Does our work with the relay type installation?

So for this to work you have to have Scandinavian or US DRL setting active? And then you also need to have byte 5 checked?
I tried this a while ago when I installed my fogs and it did not work, but I did not do all of those other things I think...

if DRLs are not enabled.... then you cannot make fogs as DRL, since DRL isn't enabled in the first place
