There seemed to be a decent influx of F23 users when they came out and now we only hear a few once in a while.

Let's also hear from any Hyrbid user, it's a hybrid thread for us hybrid guys! The BT guys have one... why shouldn't we

I was just wondering if people running them would speak up about the mods to the car other than just the turbo, especially software, cams, head combos and what they have found to be the most effective setup for their purposes.

What are you seeing for HP / TQ numbers?
    Drivability?
1/4mile times? (more a road / autox frame)
    Time running?
    whatever you feel relevant.

I (and maybe others) would like to compare the combination of parts to the levels of hp being produced. I also think it would be interesting to see how different tunes and mods compare.

Defiantly would like to hear this myself. I remember when I had my VR all the 1.8t guys were buying the Frankenten kits with the F23. Now, you hear nothing about them.

This is my point, it's not a bashing thread or anything of that nature. It just seems everything has gone quiet. There are the few guys that work hand in hand with FT but other than that it's gone silent??

It was doing some good things (and I assume it still is) I'd just think people who are running it would be willing to share what they're getting from their particular setup. I'm sure others would like to see what goes into one of these hybrid projects. It's good for everyone running Hybrid turbo's as well FT or not. It gives us an idea what mods work the best with these turbos we're running (mine is not FT, but a GTT Hybrid, there's other hybrids as well in Europe). I used FT because it's the most well known hybrid in this forum, therefore I figure there would be more input.

If you're running another hybrid and want to input feel free. It's really just a Hybrid thread.

I'm really craving some new red-meat data as well. But there are two things to consider:
    1. It's no simple thing to do a "project" car. A lot of time and patience -- and more time -- is required. So most F23 projects are little different from the Garrett and the Precision and the Strap-on Jet Pack projects. They're works-in-progress
    2. The F23 was originally conceived as a repair part. Yep, that's right: repair. You see, most of these turbos have gone into K04-spec cars overseas, where Audi S3s and TT225s were really popular. What I didn't anticpate was how supportive you Mk4 guys would be for such a product. So I had to hustle and cover my mistakes at first (think: oil return line). But I'm gratified that a good number of these have stayed here in the US. I really do believe it's the best product I've got. So it's great to have such a number of adventurous people go through the headaches to modify their cars for it.

I don't really want to limit this to F23 I would lim to see anyone with a Hybrid post.

Yes there is Doug's post, but that's different than what I'm addressing.

I think Doug gets the idea.

Hybrids are more of a project in the sense there isn't an off the shelf anything for us. It would be nice to see everyones solution to different issues.

In the long run it helps everyone running a Hybrid. Frankenturbo or not.

take a look through the 8L forum in Audi-sport.net. Several enthusiasts there run hybrids and post about them frequently. I actually use that forum as a sounding board for some of my more hair-brained ideas, as well.

Ive been working with Doug for a while with my F23, i love it, its torquey and fun, and still holds its power on the highway. I'm still on my stock rods , so i'm only limited to 17-18psi

no real issues with daily drivability, it spools a tad quick for just a highway entrance so its a little finicky if your not used to it, i also installed a dual stage boost controller so i can just cruise at 10 psi and be perfectly fine getting around (and save myself some gas, i'm a little pedal happy lol)

my mods are in my signature, as well as my power gains from it... and i do believe my dyno charts are in dogs thread, i'll take a peak through his dictionary long thread and post them in here..

but any questions are more than welcome! ask away, i love talking about it to people that are interested in his setups

^^ Im in the same boat, just need some time to get those rods in and really let the F23 fly.

Ive had mine on for a few months and really enjoy it. Having power right away is great for in-town driving. The torque is great and is manageable with a MBC but Id love to see how some people tune with their n75 to get it to smooth out...Aside from a few early hickups (Oil Feed, DP adapter fitment, and Divertenator) but other than that, this kit has been bolt on fun.

Currently Running the Tapp FT 550 file, 550 ev-14s, 3in TB, AWP MAF in vr6 housing and had to upgrade from my eurocustoms to a eurojet race FMIC. No dyno #s but this thing pull like a champ.

Once I get bored enough ill drop in the rods (collecting dust as we speak), add w/m, and basically have a much more powerful set up that puts gt28s to shame (even some 50trims)

The key to running a FrankenTurbo is knowing how to set the right priorities. See if you can identify what makes us so popular in Colombia:

    I run a F21 in my B6 Quattro.

    Mods are:
    -440cc injectors
    -Motoza tuned
    -CTS turbo 500hp fmic
    -3 inch Maf
    -Frankenturbo manifoild and TIP/DV
-Fsi Coils and brkx plugs gapped at .040

Runs great, no oil consumption. Holds 22psi all day long up to 6000+ rpm.
Reading up to 230G/s on the maf with 2-4 degrees timing pull max.
