Right now she has a 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor and she was told she would get 12k for it. She owes nothing on the car, but its been starting to cost her money so shes looking for a new ride.

She wants to stay with an SUV, nothing smaller then a 4 Runner.

Shes also trying to keep her payment under 500. Come on TCL show me what her options are and what the best options are.

So, $27k financed for 60 mos is just under $500/mo. Add in a $12k trade and you're looking at a max price of $39k or so.

Does your boss have any requirements other than a max $500/mo payment? There are a LOT of SUV's in that price range. To name a few:

    Acura RDX
    Audi Q3
    BMW X1
    BMW X3
    Chevrolet Traverse
    Dodge Durango
    Ford Edge
    Ford Escape
    Ford Explorer
    GMC Acadia
    GMC Terrain
    Honda Pilot
    Hyundai Veracruz
    Jeep Grand Cherokee
    Mazda CX-9
    Nissan Murano
    Nissan Pathfinder
    Nissan Xterra
    Subaru Tribeca
    Toyota 4Runner
    Toyota Highlander
    Volvo XC60
    Volkswagen Tiguan

It needs to be at least the size of a 4 Runner or Q7 she would love 7 seats but 5 will be fine.

She loves to sit up high

Q7 is a lot bigger than a 4Runner and you're not buying a new one for her price range. I assume that she's only looking for new cars.

If all wheel drive needed- Mazda CX9 Sport AWD.
It is right at $30k street price and has 0% for 60 months- making it $500 a month.
If she drives it she will love it (sports car compared to her Mitsu SUV).

"We" are test driving? I guess this is more of an friend-boss than a boss-boss? Interesting relationship.

CX-9 and a GMC Acadia are great test drive thoughts if 7 seats is preferred. Technically they're a size class up from a 4runner though.

It would be funny if whatever you recommend she is gonna buy and then after a few month blame you in case she didn't like it... be careful.

Lol Wut? My father has 07 Outlander V6 and that car is probably the most reliable car I have ever found in my life. Can't believe Endeavor would be less reliable.

She seems too young for that.
Maybe that is due to excessive drug use, which can lead to prostitution and homelessness.

Don't drive a Corolla or you might end up a homeless prostitute.

Is your boss the owner of the company? If so, it certainly makes more sense for her to lease.

But the real question here is: Why are you test driving cars with her?! Isn't that her husband/boyfriend's job?

Lol sorry guys got busy at work, the boss is actually my dad's girlfriend so it's definitely odd.

Though as much as would love to see her in a tourag they are just too expensive. So I ask the professionals here at TCL

So, you are talking right around a $36k vehicle before ttl (assuming the state you are in gives you tax breaks with trade-in)
