I would be telling them to be getting me a new car, if they are going to be doing any paint or anything on it I would be contacting VWOA

Hey folks,
I have a 2013 GTI 2 door and the hood is not aligned properly. When you look at the hood from the front you can see no spacing between the driverside headlight and hood, however, you have a gap between the passenger side headlight and hood.
I have taken it back to the dealership and they were unsuccessful in aligning it properly. They have now scheduled me to see their body shop to have it fixed.
My knowledge on body work is horrible so what kind of questions should I ask the dealer and body shop? Are there certain things that they should not do to fix this? Any technical terms I need to know about?
Thanks,
Teck

Do it right, or do it twice.

In addition to the hood, we noticed the other day that the front bumper is not flush with the passenger side front fender and there is a noticeable rattle when the driver side door is closed. The rattle appears to come from the door when it closes.
I dropped the GTI off at Frema VW of Goldsboro Wednesday and as of close of business today they stated they corrected the hood and front bumper but need more time working on the driver side door. Frema stated they had to send an audio file to VW's Techline to get some assistance on the rattle issue. Apparently, the rattle is only present in 2 door models.
Anyone else with a 2-door Golf, GTI or Golf R having the same issue?

My knowledge off the two door rattles is that it is caused by the drivers side striker plate the fix is adjust striker plate and lube that striker plate with lithium grease
