2001 Volkswagen GLX Jetta VR6 the car has 170,000 the engine was rebuilt 140,000 on it. The car runs great and is fast for being 11 years old. The car is fully loaded, black leather, Monsoon Sound system, and the vehicle is Manual. It has a 6 speed racing transmission in it out of a 2 door racing passat from Germany. I recently put 4 brand new tires on it, as well as a new Clutch

-6 speed Manual Transmission ( Came From a 2 door racing Passat from Germany )

-12 inch Ken wood sub woofer with a 1000 watt Sony xplod AMP
-OZ racing Rims

I would put it up for way more than 2700. Idk if its just where I live and vr6's are very hard to find but a bone stock 01 gti vr6 sold for 4500, and a 99 bone stock for 4100. With all the mods I would sell for at least 5k

I already went for a drive with him in it. He told me a bunch stuff he had to fix. But now all it needs is

Just looking at that car, and the description... A 2 door racing Passat...

You are better of spending $6-8k on a newer MK4 with under 100k, because after you spend the $2200 or whatever to buy it you're gonna spend another $3K just making it run right.

OP, steer clear. Since the guy selling has no idea what the transmission came from (I'd guess it's a GLI/GTI 02M TBH) means he probably doesn't know much else about the car itself. It's one thing to say it's got a 6-spd swapped in, it's a different story if you're claiming it's a racing transmission from a car that probably doesn't exist (I've never heard of any two door Passats either).
