I would do.k04 with Tt225 injectors. That will.give you the little bit.of power you want and the reliability as well

Ok so this is the deal, I have a 97 aeb 1.8t and need a new turbo soon. My main concern is being reliable as I drive about 500 miles per week with her Nd also trips up to the mountains to ski. I already have bilstein struts, tein springs, 3in test pipe, downpipe and 3in borla back, open cone filter and a couple other things. I'm running stock boost on my ko3 but need a new turbo here soon. I'm thinking ko4, franken, or a GT28 setup? Like I said I need reliable with just a little extra power to help pull me and a few other people up mountain passes 7000+ ft above sea level. Also getting the aeb tuned for my turbo choice is my next question, who does the best tuning and safest. I plan on keeping this car for a long time, she has a couple small nicks and such but I truly love my car but need her to breath a little better. Thank you.

i would go franken turbo > k04. as for tunes i like what i read about unitronic

Don't even bother with the K04. It's nearly the same price as a Frankenturbo and falls short on performance when compared to an FT. I personally would do a GTRS and call it a day if you aren't going with a full frame turbo setup. Along with all the supporting mods of course.

If you go k04 you won't have to get bigger injectors or mess with tuning. It will be way cheaper. If you have the money I would go frankenturbo though.

Franken would be the best bang for the buck IMO. If all you want is a slight improvement, that would probably be your best bet. GTRS would be a better performance choice but might end up costing you a little more.

that doesnt make sense. just a turbo upgrade alone he wont gain a thing, not without software to use it. and sure you can run a tune on stock injectors but it will be a very light tune, for a slight but signifcant gain i would go ft, tt225 injectors, test pipe cat back dv and stage 2 unitronic. wont break your bank and itll appear almost stock
