I've had some extensive repair work done on my CC in it's first 1800 miles, in service for just shy of 30 days since I've owned it and there has been a lot of tinkering around in my engine bay by two different VW service centers. Anyway, it looks like something might be missing from the end of this no?

You are not missing anything from that end. That is how it comes.

If you were missing a hose, the car would not run.

the intake manifold is essentially the older 2.0T FSI-turbo (BPY) manifold with the hole for it blocked off.

    It's there from the FSI

If you're brave enough....you could drill into it & have a boost (tap) access port--for a boost gauge
BUT instead, just use a APR or 42DD boost tap
