Curious what I would have to do to my car to shoot flames. I have a MK4 Jetta 1.8t stock exhaust. Need some info on what I would have to do.. Was thinking 3 inch downpipe to straight pipe, but not exactly sure. Help please

it's easy... but may i ask why you'd want to spit flames?

the easy route, if thats your only goal, still requires your car to be emissions exempt.

it involves three things, a test pipe, a 4 bar fpr, and a tune that gives you two-step (ignition cut based launch control)

i actually provide all three, if you're interested, PM me.

since running a test pipe is not street legal if your car isn't emissions exempt, a high-flow race style catalytic converter can be installed to help reduce the chance of clogging/overheating from the fuel dump that happens with two-step. if you have no concerns, the rear o2 can be removed with the tune so a test pipe can be run without the rear o2 sensor.

    *chuckles*

flames are a byproduct of the way that some cars happen to be setup. i agree 100%
except for crashing in to a poll, honestly, i could/would never wish that on anyone.

i don't expect anyone to have my views.
but idiocy doesn't have the reprimands it used too, hence the ****ty state of humanity.

that "by product" isn't a normal thing for some kid with a MKIV, regardless of how "tuned" or "built" it is..... sometimes i think your naive, or your hiding the evil side.

i'm not sure who this was addressed to, but i'll reply.

i've had cars over the years that were not built to run on the street, that have shot flames between shifts or just prior to launch when using an ignition cut style of launch control / two step. it's been circumstantial.

i have a customer car at my shop right now that when doing a non-lift shift or prior to launch shoots flames. it's simply what happens when you have unburnt fuel entering your exhaust.

For threads of this sort, I do what I always do, turn to eBay. Sure enough, the easiest way to accomplish the OP's goal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Exhaust-flam...422cd6&vxp=mtr

I think the scariest part is the "over 20k sold" tagline.
