Thread: For those who are really low on 17's: need info

  1. 10-06-2012 12:27 PM #1
So I think 17's will be my route on the Ginster, but I wanted to do a little research before I commit.

17x9's what tire are people running on them? I was thinking 195/40 but the 40 series sidewall scares me. Is anyone running 35 series, and lived to tell about it?

found this in another thread but can't seem to find any tire information.

I would go 205/40 on a 9". It's enough tire. If you're running 17x9 all around I'll be interested to see how it turns out.

I would bow!!! I still got some inches to drop before I'm that low.
She keeps tellin me you should sell that POS everyday. And then I consider the alternative. A quiet, boring, lil eco box. And then when im on the on ramp to the highway I punch it and wind out 3rd gear and hear that intake and the exhaust together in perfect harmony as it rips a humongous hole in the ozone layer and causes the spontaneous explosions of tree huggers faces . I my VR6!!!

Don't run a 35 series on a 17, it will look stupid. Especially if you can't putt it off. Run the 40.

That's what I wanted to know. Thank you sir. Hopefully a 195/40 will allow me to turn still.

No I just got those tires today I'm waiting on adapters. Here is 17x8 ET35 all around with those same Forceum Brand 205/40s while I wasn't low yet. You can see plenty of room up front to go down. 17's are perfect on a MK3
