    Well...

Karmann Ghia, "Custom" top boot cover. Four tone horn steering wheel. Deluxe hubcaps and dont forget those Karmann Edition side markers. And the 1.4 engine!

Glass has the VIN etched into it????

Looks like the bumpers aren't original. They are silver and not on level.

custom white top cover (for when you have the top-down)

Custom? Maybe, but a top boot was a standard feature.

    White leather seats

Um, er, leather? More like a very, very thin layer of leather over a fabric substrate. Partially true then.

    Auto Transmission
A serious error to accommodate lazy Americans and some few handicapped drivers.

All doors and windows lock, go up & down ..etc
Rear windows only go half way down, still, relative to up, halfway down is still down.

Good catch. AND, the photo at the bottom left shows a car with white bumpers, looks like a different car.
The crooked bumper kind of belies the the "Never been in an accident" statement.

Original awesome cassette player with 5 cassette tape -holder in dash (like an old skool cd changer Holds 5 tapes til youre ready with a cute little red light showing one is waiting to be played! SO NEAT!!)
Really!? Never heard of one of those in a car let alone as a VW option. Was this for real? Oh, what's a cassette anyway?

All original glass etched with VIN ( A desirable security feature- gives you lower auto insurance rates)
VIN or part number? Don't recall an insurance agent ever asking if a car had etched glass.

Fabulous 4-tone horn on steering wheel
That must be awkward. Is that a feature to wake a drowsy driver? Horns are usually under the hood.
Cabriolets came with two tone horns, not four tones.
Wonder if the four horn section is accompanied by a keyboard, drummer, strings and a vocalist?

Many of these are on the road still.

    Define "Many".

No one wants to sell !
Self canceling. If "No One" wants to sell, why does this ad exist?

Took me 2 years to find mine!!
Didn't look very hard, or well.

    1.4 l 4 cyl Fuel injection engine
    1.4?? HaHa! Try 1.8.

Has original "Karmann" Ghia Markers on each side

Cabriolet Karmann badges make no mention of Ghia.
Um, call it a Karmann Italdesign Giugiaro, or Karmann Giugiaro if you like, don't call it a Karmann Ghia.
Though Giugiaro did work for Ghia briefly (1966 - 1968) he had his own concern going strong by the time A1 design work began.
Karmann was the coach builder, Italdesign Giugiaro was the designer.
This is what a Karmann Ghia looks like......

Brake bleeding by itself, rarely, if ever, fixes any brake issues. The car likely needs a master and/or shoes and drums and/or calipers.
    Define "EASY FIX"

I know they made the VW THING, but never knew they made a Volkwagen Other Convertible It's a Karman Ghia
Top don't look new, and the boot cover isn't custom it is oe.
The seats are Leatherette or Pleather

    Ron you dissin my Auto's....
Never Been in a accident shiney crooked front, white rear bumper... is that oe?
The Glass etch don't lower ins, it makes it easier to find after it is car-jacked and stripped.
    87 with 140K isn't low, I think under 40K is low.
1.4? never knew of those at all.
Sell as is? Then I need to fix it, how can you test drive it with no brakes...
    More runes.............

This will be a Fisher (sp?) tape holder. It doesn't play tapes, just holds them. Not sure about the light either, pretty sure there is a red lens or sticker that shows when you have a tape in the slot. Holds 5 or 6 tapes, installs in front of the shifter - in the centre console cubby Cabby's and Jetta's.

VIN etched into glass is on 90+ models.
Looks like the vent windows were changed to solid or non- opening.
And what others have said sounds right.
