And along with it, my key fob. After losing my spare. And my other spare. So now I'm left with no functioning keyfob

Any suggestions to programming and which (if any) board I need to find to replace it? Immo wasn't affected, so it would just be replacing the circuitry and reprogramming to the central locking system.

if you replace the battery does the light still blink when you push the button? maybe try to re sync it.

put in door unlock, and hit lock or unlock with in 30 sec.
    it worked for me..
    worth a try.

Mine broke too. I went on ebay, found a reputable seller and then reprogrammed it with VCDS

This is what I am doing as we speak. Just make sure you get one that matches the part number on your broken remote. For example, HLO 1k0 959 753 P
    The last letter varies.

Yeah I meant to say match the part number too. I got mine for less than $30, used.

Dry it out really good and put in a new battery. I've done this too and have no problems with the current fob, except it doesn't quite have the range that it use to have.
