Thread: Did you sell your 2007 Rabbit ?

  1. 10-06-2012 03:00 PM #1
Very good chance I'm gonna sell my 2007 Rabbit soon and I wanted to get an idea on what peoples experience was when selling their car. Kelly Blue Book shows a private sale value of $7,000 for cars around 125,000 miles, and $11,000 for cars around 25,000 miles

I think my poll options should cover just about everyone as long as your car was in good shape, didnt need any major repairs, and was somewhere in the 25k - 125k mile range.

If your sold your car for considerably less or more then if you could briefly talk about what caused it to be outside the range, whether its value added mods, or repairs needed, or other things buyers didnt like or thought was really nice.

Also if you could briefly talk about what may have hurt the value, how quickly did the car sell, or other things in general worth noting about selling your car.

I tried to include the option of private/trade-in or just selling to a dealer but I know that private sells tend to yield slightly more then the others and I could only put 10 options in the poll. So if you could mention what type of sale it was also that would be great.

Just sell the ****ing car. Either wait for the best deal or wait and find a sucker to pay more than kbb value. It's not rocket science.
Replica wheels are like fake boobs. They look good on the outside, but when it comes to quality, Nothing beats the real thing.

Maybe theres an option to see "completed" prices on car selling sites I dunno, but listed prices is rarely ever the closing price. Those sites dont get into much detail about minor things that hurt or help the final sale price. I figured I'd start this poll to find out what people are actually getting after the offers and haggling is done. I can see its not going to be that affective. Other then the poll I was also hoping people would briefly talk about their experience with the sale in general. I guess I'll just help you guys out and say "f**k ME" to myself.
