Thread: need help turbo timer not working

  1. 10-06-2012 05:04 PM #1
I have an Apexi turbo timer (was installed when I got the car), but somethings not wired right. Whenever I turn the key off, the engine shuts off, but the ignition will stay on until the timer has counted to zero. Now, what I do know is that this is correct behaviour IF the handbrake is not engaged. But it doesn't matter if i pull the brake or not, still the same result.

I'm wondering if this is some recurring problem/question, and if anyone know of a "standard" fix?

It sounds like its not wired to true ignition. Sounds like its wired to your second ignition or accessories wire. Get a diagram of the ignition wiring. You can prob get one at 12volt source. Then u can see what's going on. Defintaly sounds like its not wired to true ignition
