  1. 10-07-2012 04:50 AM #1
Hi when driving along if I put my foot down to pick up speed it gets to a certain rpm about 4000 and then losses power for a secound and then speeds up again all the time . And when at stand still if you put your foot right down again the revs go up and down it will go to 4500rpm then drop to 4000rpm. Please help (vw fox 1.2 3 cylinder 06 plate)

That sounds like a 2000 and whatever European Fox. This forum is for 1987-1993 Foxes as sold in North America. Not saying somebody won't have something to suggest, but it's not likely.

For what it's worth..... it sounds like a sensor/ ecu issue. Good luck!

Could it be in a "safe mode" for the engine?
