I'm looking to get into a 6speed for my 1.8l cis. Want a quicker bottom end with a good highway gear. Would love some info on possibilities and leads on builds. All info is much appreciated.

.71 is in my GTI and you could comfortably sleep behind the wheel. One of the best decisions I made.n

I swapped the 5th in my gti for a .81 and she cruises at 65 really nice now. I drove a friends car that has a .71? it is just to tall, the rev drop between 4th and 5th will screw you at times. Quaife dogbox is badass.

What did you have to give for that shifter? And how does the cable feel versus the solid linkage?

I would estimate at about 40-45mm
