Hehe don't mean to thread jack but I'm interested as well how that hose fitting comes off. Do you have to take the dash apart to get to it? This is what I did for the ac delete.

I've been battling seized up bolts all weekend, can of PB blaster at hand, to replace my a/c compressor in my non-working a/c system.
Results:
Suction side:
Discharge side (compressor end):
Discharge side (condensor end):
Basically whatever the hose was connected to gave way before the fitting would come loose.
Couple of questions then:
I found a discharge hose (condensor to compressor) for $52 on amazon (4seasons)
Can't seem to find a suction hose anywhere, and also can't see how it disconnects from the metal pipe going through the firewall:
How is this hose replaced?
Not looking forward to disconnecting the other side of the condensor or the receiver/dryer :S am hoping it doesn't get so bad that i can't get the a/c going
An a/c shop can fabricate R134a hoses to fit?
Cheers

Got the fittings off the dryer/receiver ok, and got the pipe with the switches on out, only victim was the condensor again which is fubared anyway lol
I got the switches off that pipe. What can I use to clean the parts I've got out? Purple power?

That suction hose is a one piece unit that goes in to the car.
Most Cabriolets from 88 to 93 use the same hoses, there are differences in the York style of compressor than the OEM Sankyo. Get Thee to a wrecking yard, or take it to a a/c hydraulic hose shop and have new fittings installed.... That suction hose is silver soldered together after the valve.
Grounds, Grounds, Grounds Replace them things.
Divorces, Great Coffee, and Electrics, all start with GOOD Grounds.
Where are my grounds ?
