OMG, it doesnt carry 15+ rounds, you are going to die!

Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I'm waiting for a comparison with the Glock 36 which I love. There are some great YouTube reviews of this gun.

Well, the one thing it'll beat most other guns is "width". The XDS is single-stack, something Glock hasn't done yet.

i wish glock would make a single stack 9mm...been looking for a m&p shield with no luck, but i heard the xds will eventually be available in 9, just hate the grip safety though.

There's always the PPS. No grip safety, single stack 9 or .40. 6-8+1 rounds in 9, 5-7+1 in .40.

Yeah, as I mentioned though, the PPS is priced into the stratosphere vs. the competition, so I could not in good conscience buy one. Which is a shame, because it would be nice to keep the same controls as my PPQ.

$450 for the M&P Shield vs $520 for the PPS at Buds... Sure it's a bit more, but I wouldn't call that stratospherically priced in comparison.

Maybe a couple of years ago when the PPS was the only game in town and they absurdly listed for $700+, but not anymore.

I don't mind the grip safety. it just gives me added peace of mind when carrying. I have never had issues with grip safeties. All of my pistols have them except my revolvers. The XDs is amazingly comfortable to carry. It has weight to it that you don't really expect from such a small, gun which is nice. Al though it is a MASSIVE difference then carrying my 1911 which is a heavy as **** gun!

When I go out shooting next I will try and do a video of the XDs shooting and a mini review.

    cheers

Not bad, I haven't looked for a year or so, but even then they were $600-ish. Now, if I had LEO discount, the Shield is $389 ...but I don't get that anymore (sigh). Maybe I'll have to reconsider then.
