Wait, WE are supposed to tell you if you saw a Model S or not?
I have an idea, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Google a photo of a Tesla Model S
2. Examine the photo
3. Compare the photo to the image of the car in your mind
Wasn't that easy?

Would it be odd to see one of these in New Hampshire?? Its leaf peeper weekend and after searching for all the cars i thought it might have been though Google. The closest was the Tesla model S...it was Black had LED's in Front LED's in back and almost looked like a Maserati. Though had no Trident badges..
Anything else it could have been? or am i correct in saying it was a Model S

I work at Tesla manufacturing. We are currently delivering Model S a little slower than originally projected, but they are on the road. To date, we have delivered over 400 Model S around the country including the East Coast. it really depends on where the buyer is in line on the waiting list.
If you ever get the chance to take a test drive or ride in one, do it. You will not be disappointed. The Model S will eat probably 90% of the cars usually posted on here and it does in luxury. I personally don't care for the front grill fascia, but I can let it go for the rest of the car attributes.
If you have any question about Model S, just ask.

Here's a few iPhone Pics from work:
My favorite color:
A frame layout for prospective owners to see:
This is original. This is a clay car and you can see the styling cue changes from this to the production version:

And yes, we do custom colors, although it comes at a cost obviously. Supposedly this car belongs to a gentleman who has another luxury vehicle in the same color:

The owner of the company I working for just took delivery of a red/ burgundy one here in central NJ last week.
His S is awesome. It was like driving around in an iPad.
It has a sort of an Aston Martin 'Linebacker-in-a-tux' thing going on.
The guy who owns our building has the original Tesla, built on the Elise chassis. Personally, I'd prefer one of those... but the S is just a different class of car altogether. I love the interior door panels, and the fact that even though it's chock-full of technology, styling-wize, it is surprisingly minimalistic.
He's given his Prius to the business as a company car, and the S is his daily driver.
Nice.

i stopped in the Tesla store in Newport Beach today. The Model S is really cool in person. I was impressed.

Is the Model S its own car made 100% in house?? like is the frame and body Tesla made?
im only asking because i was watching some videos on Tesla and remembered the Roadster was based off of the Elise.
and the model S looks a little like the new ford designs.
also does the Model S share any parts with any other mfg cars?
kind of like how the Karma shares with other mfgs

I love the fact it's more effective than the other fully electric options out there and holy Crap look at the size of that screen

Any word if a less, much less expensive model is in the pipeline? Say a Nissan Leaf, Ford Focus Electric and Honda Fit EV competitor?
Maybe with a battery a step below the base Model S' 40 kWh with 160 mile range. I would be happy with a 120-130 mile range. And retain the battery floor concept with a 5 door hatch body style but turned around 180 degrees from the Model S to be FWD. That way you have a flat cargo floor and there maybe even room up front for a frunk like the Model S. The cargo area in the Leaf and Focus is too awkward.
Also, to keep the cost down, ditch the ginormous flat screen center stack with a conventional sized screen with some hard buttons such as for the climate control. And if Tesla could sell it for about $30,000 before any tax incentives. Then they could count me as a customerAnd I'm sure they will sell a ton of them.

According to Tesla yes, after the Model X a new entry level sedan is next on the plate.
http://insideevs.com/teslas-cto-talk...ming-30000-ev/“I think the Model S is really a transition product. The Roadster was really for die-hard fans and people who either loved performance or technology. The Model S is bridging that gap. We see customers with Model S that are much more mainstream.
Tesla’s goal is to advance the boundaries of electric vehicle technology and eventually drive a revolution in the whole industry. So we would love to see every car on the road being electric as soon as possible. We won’t build all of those, but we definitely want to change the mindset and people’s barriers about what they think is possible.
I think Tesla will remain a brand where we focus on performance and fun driving but we are also driving down the price of our vehicles with each successive generation. So the Model S is about half the price of the Roadster and we are already working on our third-generation platform beyond this, which will be much cheaper still, maybe about US$30,000.”
