    Early Maserati Biturbo

    Renault 5 Turbo

Allegedly the draw-through 2.3 turbo motor from a 1979 Mustang (can't verify the image)

Nice, keep them coming! They don't only have to be turbocharged, supercharged ones are welcome too.

One was posted, but I wanted to add this pic I took of a clean Corvair two weeks ago.

    Studebaker offered supercharged/carbureted V8 models for years. This is a late-era R2 Studebaker 289 V8 rated at 289 hp:

Kaiser in the fifties, unable to finance a new V8 engine program, resorted to a Paxton supercharger on its old six-cylinder flathead to boost power and performance:

Graham offered supercharged models in the prewar years:

    Auburn likewise:

Ford's supercharged "F" models of the fifties were legends:

The last Packards of 1958 had supercharged engines (this car a Studebaker but with the blown Packard engine):

    The incomparable Duesenberg SJ engine:

Oldsmobile along with the Chevy Corvair pioneered turbocharging with their all-aluminum turbocharged V8 Jetfire of 1962:

Then my personal favorite, the Cord supercharged V8 812 of 1937. Sweet sweet package:

Really cool stuff, had no idea most of those cars even existed... 289hp for back in the day must have been pretty damn good.

My brother had a Judson when I was little, I've only seen a couple since then.

    How about a Merlin setup?

The 66 Shelby Mustang was available with a Paxton Supercharger from the factory. Only 11 were made though

Did any other these blow through carburetor turbo set ups work well?

The lack of electronic injection (with sensors) seems like they would be a real mixed bag.
The low compression and cold plugs would result in fouled plugs in normal driving.

Maybe not but they were really simple in design and didn't involve much electronics so working on them must have been really easy.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Electronics... are easy.

Those cars are NIGHTMARE of vacuum hoses, which like to get brittle from the heat of the turbo and develop tiny leaks which take ages to pin down.

Back in the 30s Alfa made this straight 8 S/C for the 8C:

The SSk Mercedes of the late 20s also featured a supercharged I6

My father has a 1955 Willys pickup truck with the original inline flathead 6. Apparently you could order a Kiaser supercharger. Not sure if it was a factory installed item or a dealership installed item, but it was based on a Paxton centrifical blower. Very rare to see an original Willys with the blower. He's been scouting for a blower ever since seeing it in pictures. They pop up on Ebay every so often.

I'm not sure if this is really considered factory since it was his personal car but the twin supercharged Cobra is pretty sweet:

Or how about a blower Bentley:
