Well it finally happened I can't even believe it.. I just sold the R.... This is the first time in 22 years I will be with out a VW.. It has been an amazing car that I have loved to own. I am very sad to see it go. I remember being put on the wait list for this car when it was first annouced. I felt very much a part of an elite few to have the opportunity to own such an amazing car. It has been my Daily, My soccer mom car, My track car, and my project........

I Just did my last track event at Summit point and loved every second of it. I have loved being a part of the R32 community!!!!

Some pics of the R and its replacement. Though there is nothing that can ever replace that car.

What I bought to fill the void..

And I have seen 1 or 2 B5 RS4s in the states. IDK if they were real or just made to look real.. Now that is a car to own. My buddy found this one for me. He got it on a trade.. Was to good of a deal to pass up.

Don't fool yourself.. you still have a VW.

Just one with a nicer badge, more expensive and involved maintenance.

How many miles, and has the carbon been scraped out lately?

    Enjoy it!

I *really* hope he was joking and didn't buy a RS4 not knowing about the carbon issue. That would be a nasty surprise. Literally!!

Having driven an RS4, I for one side with the new owner... I'd happily do excessive maintenance every 30k to drive that car.

    Congrats.....Enjoy RS4! Good choice!

At some point sooner rather than later I need to get a new(er) car.
The only things of any interest at his point are an RS4, or B8 S4.

My problem is I don't want to get rid of the R, but keeping it and having another car is tough, as I live in NYC. Need to find a place to store my R!

When Smash had his RS4 he said it ate thru tires from the weight of the car, other than that I think he really liked the car.

Can't believe you sold the R. Really like the replacement, though. You should stop by one of these days and let me get look at it. Good luck with the new ride.
