So I just bought a 2000 GTi vr6 12v 5 speed, all stock. Drove it home went to go to the dmv and it would turn over but wouldn't start.... It ran fine, didnt stall or sputter so I was going threw everything making sure it was okay, I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it started right up.. so now every time I want to drive it I have to disconnect the battery and wait about 15 seconds to reconnect it and it starts right up. I've been trying to research it but haven't come up with much. Please Help!!

I checked all the connections and they are fine, its getting fuel and it cranks and cranks and nothing happens but as soon as i disconnect the battery and wait a few seconds and hook it back up it starts right up... I don't understand it, also when im driving if I let off the throttle the mpgs will go up to 160 or so mpgs and then give a --- and when I apply the throttle again it will go from 120 or so mpgs to 16-20... idk if that helps you guys at all but im at a loss
