i wanted a little different look to my car so i didnt look like everyone else. i was looking at the rs4 wide body kit but holy cow 9500$. so i was looking into fender flares, saw a pair of brand new ones for cheap so i thought about it and went with it. so this is going to be close to a diy but im not sure on descriping it in words so ive got alot of pictures.
    Pricing:
    fender flares-$50
    4 h&r 20mm spacers with hareware-$100
    fiberglass\mat-$100
    bondo\bondo glass-$150
    odds and ends-$200
    experience-priceless
total of about 700$ and 1 month to complete it
not with this build but wanted to price these out for ya anyways
    hid s4 headlights-$200
    rs4 front bumper-$150
    tow hook-$35

started by marking the fender flare so i could actually cut the metal to widen the wheels
    Photobucket

    Now to cut some metal
    Photobucket

i needed to make the side skirt come out from the body to match the fender flare, so a custom side skirt extenstion is invented.
start with cardboard and messure(i fiberglassed the cardboard)
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket

The back was more of a challange because of the door but no problem little extra steps
    Photobucket
    Photobucket

bondo glassed the flares to the bare metal, also fiberglassed the flare to the bumper and side skirt
    Photobucket
    Photobucket

i only had 3 flares so i had to duplicate one. check it out
    Photobucket

this side is on but not done
    Photobucket
    Photobucket

odds and ends of the finishing steps
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket

also did between the door and flare
    Photobucket

    shaved the rear bumper
    Photobucket

as it looks now should be done in a few weeks(it wont stop raining)
    Photobucket

all of this was done by me and me alone
    thanks for checking it out
    sorry so many pictures
ill update wen its all complete
next month im gonna mold an 03 rear lip onto my car cant wait

Looks good. Really turned around from your original plan. And what do you mean by an 03 rear lip? Like this http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_A4-.../Body/Spoiler/

So a diffuser is what you want. Look up BENI_BOY on Audizine. He molded a B7 RS4 diffuser to a B5 RS4 rear bumper. Should give you an idea of what the finished product might look like.

Huge turn around. Not a fan of rieger bumpers still or the hood but the rear diffuser should look nice. I've seen it on beni_boy's car and it looked pretty great.

Any ideas on paint? Hopefully all one solid color!

Widebody noggy would look really good. Or maybe Cactus Green.

Wait, so you used cardboard to extend the side skirts?

Props on the work, though. Can't diss that cause I know what it's like doing body work.

Yea used cardboard it holds its flatness on a long surface, I put 3 coats of fiberglass(its hard as a rock at this point) before it went on the car so I could rivit it on to the car. Sorry it's not tht descriptive
Ill post a picture of wat it's gonna look like thru winter, in a few days. For the past few days now I've been stripping my rims of all the paint tht me and the po(previous owner) had on them. Turns out they are CHROME.... So it should be done in a few days ill post pictures
    Thanks for liking it
