Sensor 1 is the upstream oxygen sensor b4 the cat. Sensor 2 would be the downstream o2 sensor after the cat
To help with the secondary air monotor, try starting the car up in the morning and letting it idle for 45-60 seconds b4 you drive to allow the air injection to do its thing. Then drive like normal and look for a check. Catalyst monitor is usually a good 20 minute cruise on the freeway to clear that one. But youll need good funtioning o2 sensors b4 you do that.

i have a 2004 VW GTI 1.8T. the light on for i beleve code is P0133 it says o2 sensor slow response BANK 1 SENSOR 1...now i got a sensor from advanced auto parts store and gave me wrong one and i think that cause the one they gave me has the same plug as the one thats in the cat and they say the gave me the upstream sensor... can anyone help me with which sensor i need is it the one b4 or after the cat and is it call up or downstream?
