I feel the exact same about some of their older stuff, but it seems like some of the newer cars are a little more solid feeling.

This thread is for sharing your reasons for not getting a certain brand, because of some observance (real or otherwise).
I'll start:
I would get a Subaru, but for some reason the doors feel and slam "tinny". Never mind that I know they have great crash ratings, and all wheel drive would be very beneficial to me; whenever I go to the showroom all it takes is for me to sit in the driver's seat and reach for the door to close, and it's all over for me.

I'd get a BMW, but the only car of theirs I'd want, the new 5-series Touring with a diesel engine is not sold here.
#7
Mazda but they all seem to rust up within 4-5 years (compact class anyway the midsizes arent as bad for some reason).

I would love to get a Honda, but for some reason they keep **** blocking me when it comes to features and manual transmissions.
For Christ's sake - I can get a manual transmission Hyundai Elantra GT with leather, navigation, panoramic sunroof, and proximity keyless entry/push-button start....but that in a Honda Civic....no.

I'd love to get an Audi. Any Audi, except for the fact that they STILL mount their engines so far forward. The driving dynamics just don't sit right with me, but I love the styling, the fit & finish, and the Quattro system.

I would get a Honda if they had one single engine that spun to 8000RPM

i would get a Ford but i talk to much s**t and that would ruin my "street cred"

Driving a VW is like having sex ,You just have to find the right curves and floor it and you will always have a hell of time.

i really want a VAG product but the reliablity problems scare me![]()

Hyundai / Kia: I would have bought one had they offered a spare tire kit option.

All im saying is .. That if you don't want somthing that feels like Tin can then you almost have to suck up the price of the car and just buy German and call it a day. . If you don't care about ride /quality then cars like honda, toyota, hyundai are fine . The only other car i have got into that don't feel like this is a the caddy CTS new ones but there goes your price up again. Subaru you can beat the crap out of them and they last for ever. Just got to think about $/Quality![]()

I would buy Touareg TDI but I don't have that much money to spend.![]()

I would be more interested in BMWs except for their archetype their drivers follow in general is a massive turn off.
I would be more interested in Ferraris except for that I think their more current cars aren't exactly what I'd exactly call pretty.

I'd consider a German car, but people like 2.0TJett buy them.

I would get any Hyundai or KIA, but wont 'cause they lie too much....false advertising, inflated mpg and horsepowers.![]()

I'd buy a Kia except the entire package still isn't there, yet. Also, the suspension is firm and clunky and not great as a highway cruiser, yet the handling is pretty awful by today's standards.
I'd buy a Hyundai except for the same reasons as above, and in addition, I don't like cars in which both the interior and exterior look like they were exposed to melting temperatures.
I'd buy another Subaru when they get modern transmissions and reasonable mileage with a MT, and when the ergonomics again fit an average northern European.
I'd buy a Civic or Prius -- except I can't live with interiors that attempt to mimic alien space ships.
I'd buy an Audi, except the ones I would consider are not available with MT, and are also not available with a Diesel engine (in the latter case, for certain cars, I would consider AT)
I'd buy another VW, except I already own two.![]()
