Tacoma GTGs

I've been living here for about 3 months, and still haven't been able to find a weekly gtg or something similar. I know show season is over, but what now? I went once to a gtg at the Panera in South Hill Mall, only two euros there. I was told about Kent, but not interested in street racing. I was wondering, is there any at all? Where do you guys hide?

I hide in Nome, Alaska. Can't wait to come home, pull the cover off and start up my ride though. Is it bad that I want to see my VW before my GF when I get home?

I've noticed. But why? So many nice VWs around here, there is plenty of them in this area to get a good group going, weekly gtg, cruises, anything. Even here on base, tons of volkswagens, but i think most of them are not into vw even though they have one.

I ask this because I came from Germany, and over there we had our little faithful group of military guys that drove vw, and would hang out on saturdays for a little bit. We would hit the german scene for maybe an hour, go for a cruise to get to know the towns, grab some to eat, and go home. Some days go ride go-karts, go here and there, bbqs, stuff like that. I dont know, like a family.

When it was time for me to fly over here, I was told WA was "the VW capital". I was kinda excited, but now not so much.

I'm not sure why there aren't more GTGs down that way. There was a time when you couldn't drive 20 minutes without finding another GTG.

There's a few every other week or so in Tacoma and/or Puyallup.

Here's one in a couple of day, put on by a good friend of mine. Hopefully(work allowing) I'll be up there as well.

I'm going to try and make it out there

There are some random GTGs in the area, nothing consistent. What I'm typing about is meeting at a same spot, area, location, lets say every Friday, and from there do whatever. You know what I mean? And I know in this area there is potential for something like that.

Yup we have a gtg just about every Friday 7 pm by the new target on SouthHill Puyallup. We mainly are peeps who just check out everyone's ride and bs about cars and vws. We don't like people who do burnouts or racing, that's for the race track. Your welcome to stop by.

There's a wednesday bmw crowd at Bertalino coffee on Union, I usually swing by (no more E30 but like to 'diversify' the scenery) just to give them something different to look at. Last year and the year before there was a Titlow gtg/ byobbq on saturdays that was fun.

It's consistant just every other week. The location has changed but only because we met at Varsity Grill for about two years straight and are in the middle of finding the next best location.

I told you about the one in puyallup every other friday at dennys. Been doing it for 3 years almost. The panera bread meet is mostly ricers, and for that, they have been kicked off the property for good by the cops.

Target one was moved to Aarons new place this week somewhere in orting, so they wont be having it. They have one every friday though, started up some months ago, ours is every other friday at Dennys
