I thought someone on here had a honeycomb grille color matched to platinum grey. Can't find it on here though, anyone have pics?

Never color matched a honey comb grille. My car has never had one. I color matched a Wolfsburg Jetta grille last year.

    (best frontal I have)

No that's ok. I'm trying to decide if I want to do this on my honeycomb grille. Can't decide if it'll look good with the red strip or not.

You could always leave the grille black and color match the "smile." That is the way most people who keep the honeycomb go.

Stop murdering out your car, unless you wanna put a DUB emblem on it.

Quick google search gave me this:

    Other Examples

Grille is color matched on this one.

(Sorry if these pictures are huge, they are from Google Image search and not my own)

I like it on the white care, not on the platinum grey one though. I have a vw emblem with the red face and the insides are red, I would like to try leaving the red on the emblem and the smiley, and then changing the grille face and the emblem face to platinum grey.

I thought you were talking about the actual honeycomb itself, if you mean the shield, I like it.

I'm just worried about what the red and platinum grey will look like. It looks good right now with the black and red grille on a platinum grey car, but idk without the black...

I'm wondering about this also. Has anyone tried this? I've considered doing this with my car, but don't want this to end up as an epic fail

Personally I like the color matched shield. If I had a gti I would deffintally do.
Replica wheels are like fake boobs. They look good on the outside, but when it comes to quality, Nothing beats the real thing.
