This weekend I take a new product and I try to wash my top. That's some result before/after.

At the same time my self-starter is dead and the car no move.

Ok guys, I bump this topic because I need a little help from you.

Probabily I can't use very good this site, and I ask u to help a little girl like me to find some information.

I find a 2.0 8v engime from a mk3 (maybe an 2e or aba, dunno because I don't see the engime until January ) but i wanna to a swap to my cabby.

Where i can find some information in this site about this work? I find only for 16v and nothing else, I need to know if i have to change the manifold or something like that.

    Thank u

nice work LaJe! i haven't done an engine swap like that so i have no advice to give you, but i expect that most of the problems you will run into are not VW specific, they are more likely to be the usual shop problems, like broken studs, fasteners that will not come out, seemingly not enough clearance, etc. i am just learning this kind of stuff myself having bought a junker cabby with no real shop experience. but that's why i wanted to get into this, to learn some new stuff. Good luck with the car and keep us update! Ciao

The engine is the old 1.6 EW! I take off in 1 day, so easy, but the problems arrive now LOL.

I find some guys that help me from UK... I'm waiting for the new engine (2.0 8v but dunno the code ) and now I buy all the stuff that I need.

Until i'm waiting, i wash all the car inside and i'm waiting new instrumental panel and the carpet (maybe they arrive today!)

I haven't a key with chip (old key mk1) but I can buy it, but I dunno if someone can program the key!

In vw they want 200€ (it's 271$) it's too much expensive and without the vehicle registration they can't do it!

If that's the case, maybe go to a VW shop and sk if they can do it. They probably have the key programmer.

Nice work! If the immobilizer is an OEM VW one you can have one of the tuning companies delete the immobilizer program in the ecu. C2 Motorsports is a good company here in the US that can do it.

    regards,

    Matt

    Ciao bella!!

It was originally 1.6L engine? My '91 had a 1.8 that I swapped to 2.0... Maybe the European edition was different?

Yep it's original 1.6 engine to a 2.0 engine! It's more difficul for me because something change like fuel pomp or clucth and something else... but I try the same to do it!

New pics, new items arrive in this week, today I'll go to the post and take the wiring!
