I know this is TCL and stuff like this never does well, but I figured I'd leave it here, hopefully some will enjoy it.

lol Thanks
do you have a pic of you car I took a lot of footage I might have taken some video of it. Never know.
The show itself is still VW/Audi however a lot of venders are putting other makes and models in their booths as the whole scene has shifted to almost all makes and models.
In some aspects it's made the show more exciting, I mean once you've seen one gti on RS's you've seen 50% of the cars there. The different makes, models have made everyone step up their car game. Obviously there has been a downside, a lot of P.O.S cars ruining spots and attracting a lot more unnecessary attention, but one of those things you can never control.

Cool video man, couldn't make that if I tried. Didn't get to go this year, did the unitronic tent really have a magician? haha, reaching a bit aren't they

I miss Ocean City. Meant to get back there this summer but never did.
But this show? Is it all about the low? Does anyone show up with a nice, OEM+ MK2 16V anymore or is that deemed lame by today's "enthusiasts"?
Oh, and get those damn kids off my lawn!
#14
Damn.
Do the people that bash these videos know you, and so it's sort of tongue in cheek, or are they just that ignorant?
#15
Yeah I after moving to FL I didn't think I'd make it either![]()
But so glad I did, it still is one of the most fun events all year,
It was good to be back, it has changed as the styles have changed, who knows what it will be in 3 years, prob not even at oc md anymore
lol It's the car lounge, it's typical.
But ignorant is a polite way of putting it.

I liked it. Recognized many cars from different forums I'm on.
I actually have a friend who said he's getting "out of the scene" after going this year. Said it's all the same stuff and too many haters. I've never been, looks like fun to me.
#17
Same sh!t like every other year.![]()
#18
People can hate all they want, but after all the event's I've been to up and down the east cost, it is by far the most fun.
It's almost not even about the cars, I didn't even bring my car this year because I flew up from 1,000 miles away...
Hanging out with friends having a few drinks, eating some MD style blue crab, and driving up and down the street with car enthusiasts from all over is really what makes this event fun. The fact that everywhere you look is something different, and it's pretty much an all week event makes it even better.
cool

Cool video! It's always interesting to see the evolution of car modifications.
A lot of photogenic cars.![]()
#21
Yeah what the hell is up with all this "same stuff every year sh!t"? I know it might sound crazy but these cars that were manufactured, didn't come with a "evolution button"...They pretty much stay the same most of their life. We go to hangout and have a good time and maybe buy some parts from one another. It's not god damn SEMA![]()
#25
I'm going to give them credit for using a hand held camera and not one of these things:
At SEMA last year I saw no less than eight people using these things outside the main hall. I'm sure they were all making "sick vids brah" to sell on their site.

this is the car i was talking about

I really like the variety at H20. I espacially liked the old Benz.
Down side there was over cambered Miata, TCL favorite mod![]()

There is actually a good amount of non "slammed" Vw/audi packing some serious horsepower. Those cars are often getting as much if not more respect from the majority of the crowd down there. I had a buddy dow there with a MKII Gti VRT pushing 850hp and a mkIII 4 door Golf vrt pushing 450hp they got alot of love. There is also alot of classics mkI and mkII Vw's that looked very clean and classic that were not "stanced" the videos and photos will be mainly stanced cars becuase thats what the kids wanna see its a car show not a track day.But it is quite an eclectic mix of cars down there, I think most people would be suprised.

I went for the first time last year (at the age of 41). Was in the area for work and had the weekend
off, figured WTF. I enjoyed it, most of the cars weren't anything I am into, but the sheer volume of
modified vehicles driving made for an interesting experience. By far the biggest show/city take over
I've been too.
Recommended.
