So well, I fixed the light problem. Now I am having a problem braking. I changed the pads and noticed it was low on fluid. So, I filled it up. It didn't really fix the problem. (When I am driving the brake pedal goes right to the floor, but today noticed if I pump it 3 times I have the pressure back and the pedal works fine). The next day the reservoir was empty. My friend told me to put some cardboard under the car to see if it was leaking from any wheel or the lines and no luck. So, we are thinking the master cylinder, but before I spend the money on a new master cylinder I was wondering if there was anything else I should check? Could it be something with the abs? Thank you
There is a chance the master cylinder is leaking into the brake booster, once there will be a lot of fluid in the booster, it's drip a bit and you'll see it under the car... brake fluid doesn't disappear, it has to go somewhere.
off subject a bit.
how do you know when your MC is toast.
my pedal recently started pressing to the floor but after some pumps of the pedal the brakes would work a bit.
ive since stopped driving my car trying to diagnose what is up.
any info would be useful.
