I have a VW Jetta 2.5 with 6-speed auto. Lately I noticed that when I start the engine when cold, and put in reverse, I need more revs. My driveway goes a little uphill, so when i get to the street and put in first, it need some revs too, but once getting through second, all is good from that point on.

Has anyone had this? is this because i need to go reverse uphill? Transmission has 120K on it and had a filter and fluid change about 10 ago.

Again, this only happens when cold.
