the evaporator takes moisture out of the air and in turns into water I haven't been in the dash of my car but there is probably something that is supposed to take it out of the cabin as a drain witch is clogged

Sorry I hate to make the millionth post on water leaking into your car, but here it goes. The passengers side is all filled up with 2-3 inches of water and I have almost all of the interior ripped out. It's definitely NOT the sunroof or any of the hoses from the sunroof. It hasn't rained this week where I live. I run the A/C all the time but haven't noticed water in the car until I leave and return to the car after driving.
Does this sound like an evaporator from the A/C? I'm not really familiar with the A/C but that sounds like a component that would get rid of condensation.
Everything I searched comes up with either sunroof or rain tray debris... ...but if it's not raining....

did you cut the tips of the sunroof hose? I know you said you checked them out, but cut them if you havent.

Also, I'm not sure if it matters, but my A/C smells like it's blowing mold.

There is a tube that extends from the bottom of the HVAC box, it is part of the actual plastic structure, and it routes water out of the box and through a hole out of the cabin. It is probably clogged up

Hey so I could really use your help guys.
I stuck a stick about a foot and half long into that drain in the firewall. It did not at all seem clogged. No water came out. I turned the car on and let it run and water slowly dripped from that same drain. I looked inside my car and this time I actually saw water trickling down from the passengers side under the dash. I'm pretty sure this has to be from some component in the A/C.
My question is do you guys know what part of the A/C I may need to replace or what I'd need to inspect for leaks? Thanks.

Heatercore is leaking

Thank you. I'm still looking through google trying to find some answers and I've seen that come up a couple of times.
I live in Hawaii and NEVER use the heater. Would that make a difference in your diagnosis? Or is the heater core something that the A/C runs through/with? Does condensation flow through this?

Actually now that you mention that, I did try using the heater recently to see what would happen and it didn't really blow hot air. It was warm at the most and felt kind of moist. Sometimes the A/C feels like this too so I didn't think much of it....

Ok from what I've read, the heater core brings in hot coolant to warm the cabin. There is definitely no coolant in my car. So now I'm once again thinking it's the evaporator...

Just thought it'd be nice to give this thread a conclusion. I brought it to the dealership and they said that my firewall is rusted through. Anybody know how this could've happened or if it's worth fixing?
