Thread: new to sciroccos help

    hey guys so i have a prob with the idle screw unscrewing its self and making my idle up to 3k is there any way i can get it to stay in place ??

    this happened to me the other day after driving it hard, I just took a bit of pipe thread tape and it did the trick

    Fit should be 'snug', and a dab of Castrol Rubber Grease will help ease it in without damage/ binding.

    You should find a good selection of O-rings at a local hardware store, or you can try a Caterpillar dealer. If you have the old O-ring carefully remove it and use for reference.

    Your Throttle body is under VACUUM....teflon pipe thread tape is not so good when it unravels and gets sucked down into the cylinders...

    Get a new o-ring.....4 cents.
