With a heavy heart, I am feeling around to sell my Candy White R32. This is the same car some of you may remember from the July 2006 issue of Eutotuner. Since then the turbo has been removed and the interior is black leather from a GTI. Odometer is at 140,000. There are no major issues and the paint is 100% perfect. The original owner did the paint work and he touched it up a few months ago. I suspect you won't find an original, stock MkIV with anywhere near the miles that looks this good. I'm asking $16,000. As for trades, I would consider a MkII or MkIII or a motorcycle. Something the $2000 to $4000 value range with good gas mileage.

-K&N drop-in filter

There no need for people criticizing the posting. This same discussion happens in every post where someone doesn't like the price. Value is what someone wants to pay. I've already had a ton of interest in this car. It has a ton of incredible body and paint work, is in immaculate condition, and has a history that's not tangible or easily appraised. I watched the car from its birth, through every mod, through its Eurotuner photo shoot, and loved it for years. It was built by a guy down the street for me that has a ton of respect in the community. I bought it for way over book value and it had 90k miles at the time, five years ago. I paid because I loved the car, knew its history, knew everyone involved in its life, and I wanted it. It was worth it to me. I'm sure someone will pay a premium for the intangible qualities that go way deeper than the miles on the motor. If it's not worth it to you, then don't buy it. If no one is interested, then the price will go down. If it goes lower than what makes it worth my time, I'll keep it. I LOVE this car. It's that simple. I'm not forcing anyone. I'm not lying or misleading anyone. I'm not price gouging on a basic necessity. No one is hurt by a post asking for too much except the person who doesn't sell their car. So keep your worthless comments to yourself.

Let me add that I welcome anyone who wants to make an offer. If you don't like the price but you are actually interested then by all means, please make me an offer. It is not only welcomed, it is appreciated. Criticizing a price for something you aren't interested in anyway is a worthless waste of time.

The R seats were pulled when the car was very young to make room for a roll cage and racing seats. It has since been fitted with black leather seats from a GTI. I think it looks great, is super comfortable for my fat butt, and is a bit more mature for a 30 year old guy than the ostentatious interior that came with these cars originally. Some people like the R seats, but they certainly are not a "classic" look, which is what I like about the way my R has been modded. Nothing too fancy.

WhiteR32 is the entire reason why VW put out a CW MK V R32. Kudos to him.

I know this car by pure reputation alone. When i drive my R32 in Cali and Nevada, people see the Arizona plate and ask me if I know the person with the Candy White R32. I say I know the car, but not the person. This car has set a standard. Your car is an ICON (word does not say enough) in the southwest. Sad to see you are parting with it.![]()

I would also consider motorcycles in trade. Again, in the $2000 to $4000 value range.

Glws have seen this car multiple times up here in New England, runs awesome and has never left josh stranded on his cross country journey's bump for a good guy! Also when you comin back up to Maine?

I've only been back in AZ for a month! It's too cold in Maine this time of year. I'll hopefully be back in Maine in the summer with a new 2013 Ford Raptor. That's if this car sells and the Raptor comes in. I'm hearing some people are waiting 4-5 months for their orders. Can't fly because I have a dog and 3000 miles in my 86 Toyota rock crawlin' rig doesn't sound appealing. If this car hasn't sold by spring I'll probably hit up some east coast shows again to try and help the sale. Wolfsgart was wicked fun!
Thanks for the bumb, and the kind words.
FYI, this is what I'm driving when the R is in the garage:

If anyone in Colorado is interested in the car and wants to check it out, I'll be driving to Gunnison for a few days next week then heading to the Denver and Boulder area for a few days. Hopefully it won't get too dirty from the road trip.
