Brad if you do this, I will buy some expensive wheels from you (not bear clones). Serious.

Not sure what you mean. Like we make giant 3-pc Teddy Bears to show you we're serious or something?

    Won't these show you that?

His name escapes me ATM ... I need to send this to the guys at Burnsville VW lol.

    Amazing amount of work!

Since you need room for the haldex, how about running side exhausts?

    this should be worth following...

and for wheels, make some VW full chrome convex plates, like this:

and the car needs to be brown. or monty green

i now realized i may have more than just a slight interest in this

I have this vision of Daisys with clip-on plastic petal overlays, so you can change your petal color to suit your mood. Or even bolt-on petal overlays.

Nice. Having attempted several AWD burnouts in my 3.6 V8 swapped 200 Avant, I don't know that I'd want to do that again. It made the worst noises and tried to stand up off the entire suspension. Odd feeling.

Partially amused and partially annoyed that the prevailing conversation of a thread concerning '500hp AWD' centers around the wheels.

What's next? Discussion on the coilovers or airbags?

I really hate what the trends have become in the last 10+ years. Uggh.

It might have to do with, and call me crazy, the fact that Brad from Fifteen52 (who will be providing the wheels) posted in the thread. But, who knows.

Well, the wheels are like the only mystery surrounding the car, other than the paint color. They pretty much outlined everything that's going to be done to it.

    My thoughts EXACTLY.

I love the new beetle.. there is definitely a red 2.5 in my future that will promptly get a turbo kit, H&R coilovers, Recaros, and some LM's

As stated previously, we have a really good idea what the hardware will be, how it will fit and function, so the only thing left is interior, paint (wrap?) color and wheels. In other words, deal with it. I don't normally sweat things like wheels, but in this case it's one of the few unknowns. I'm sure if we were dealing with the other two (paint and interior) it would be no different.
